The HUB in Lee County Spotlighted by KACo in their upcoming webinar to spotlight Kentucky's recovery community centers

The Kentucky Association of Counties will host Opioid Solutions: Spotlight on Recovery Community Centers June 5, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. ET. 

This webinar highlights the essential role of Recovery Community Centers (RCC) in fostering long-term recovery, enhancing community collaboration, and effectively using opioid settlement funds to broaden services. 

The webinar will feature a panel discussion with leaders from prominent RCCs across Kentucky, including Voices of Hope, Kentucky River District Health Department, The Hub, Recovery Café, Volunteers of America, and Kentucky Behavioral Health Center. These experts will share their experiences, discuss challenges faced, funding strategies employed - including the use of opioid abatement dollars - and key lessons learned in their efforts to support recovery communities. 

A special focus will be on The HUB, a center that has been making significant strides since its inception in Lee County in 2022.  

The Hub's mission is straightforward yet impactful: meeting individuals where they are but not leaving them there. By offering holistic, person-centered care, The Hub addresses various needs, including addiction, hunger, homelessness, mental health, employment and housing. Their comprehensive approach exemplifies how RCCs can serve as vital community anchors. 

This webinar presents a valuable opportunity for professionals in prevention, treatment, recovery, and local government to gain insights into strengthening local response efforts through RCCs.  

Attendees will learn how these centers serve as HUBS for connection, services and sustained support, contributing to the resilience and well being of communities across Kentucky.
