Irene Kidd Johnson

Mrs. Irene Kidd Johnson, 81, of Beattyville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky after a brief illness.

She was born May 4 1942 in Fillmore, Kentucky, was the daughter of the late Willis and Mary Johnson Kidd, the wife of the late Daniel Johnson and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donna "Rick" Overbee of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Mrs. Rita Stump of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; one son Mr. Daniel "Jean Ann" Stump of Alamogordo, New Mexico, daughter-in-law Mrs. Deborah Stump of Booneville, Kentucky. Grandchildren: Mr. James D. Overbee of Beattyville, Mrs. Elizabeth Levene of Manorville, New York, Mr. Jason Stump of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, Ms. Megan Rose of Staton, Kentucky, Ms. Sarah "Nathan"Mays of Beattyville, Mr. Bryan Stump of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Ms. Robyn Stump of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Ms Brandy Mayes of Booneville, Kentucky, Mr. Dusty Mayes of Booneville, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. 3 Sisters Mrs. Margie Long, Mrs. Della Lafoe, Mrs. Anetta Blevisn. 3 brothers, Mr. Eugene Kidd, Mr. Roger Kidd, and Mr. Paul Kidd. Special Friends: Rick and Sherri Johnson, Vicky and Jeff Sparks, several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Mary Johnson Kidd, her husband, Daniel Johnson, one daughter, Rhonda Stump, one son David E Stump, 2 grandchildren Timothy Daniel Stump and Sara Brittany Stump, 2 brothers Charles Kidd and Glen Kidd, and 1 sister Alice Faye Howard.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Johnson was held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 1pm with visitation starting at 12:30pm at Searcy and Strong Funeral Home in Booneville, Kentucky with a burial following in the Rock of Ages Cemetery in Beattyville, Kentucky.

Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrrangements.
