Mary Jo Fugate, age 82, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024, at her residence in Beattyville, KY. Mary Jo was born March 22, 1942 in Beattyville, KY, a daughter to late Harold and Inez (Stapleton) Palmer. She was a Homemaker, loved her family and God. She is survived by 2 daughters; Jackie (Joe) Broadwell, and Michelle (Keith) Smith both of Beattyville, KY, 4 sons; Vernon (Rose) Keller, of Richmond, KY, John Thorpe, and Aaron (Cindy) Thorpe, both of Beattyville, KY, Ted Palmer of Miami, FL, 1 sister; Janice Carol Davidson of Manchester, KY 1 brother; Michael Paul Palmer of Beattyville, KY, 26 grandchildren; Dominic Palmer, Joanna Terry, Thomas Thorpe, Joseph Thorpe, Cheyenne Thorpe, Johnnie Thorpe, Brittney Thorpe, Desiree Thorpe, Joseph Broadwell, Jennifer Stone, Jodi Reaves, Josh Broadwell, Jacob Broadwell, Velvet Keller, Tiffany Settles, Tonya Derny, Mike Issacs, Jerimiah Keller, Jason Randall Keller, Megan Keller, Stevan Keller, Chance Keller, Brandon Yinger, Berry Keller, Billy Keller, and Alex Keller, 42 great grandchildren along with many other loving family members and friends.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Vernal Fugate, 2 sons; Jason Keller and William Harold Keller, 1 brother; Daniel Boone Palmer, and 1 sister; Gloria Jean Palmer.

Funeral services Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Hensley officiating. Mary Jo was laid to rest in the Palmer Goose Creek Cemetery located in Lee County. The Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
