FRANKFORT, Ky (December 8, 2025) – Across Kentucky, individuals with disabilities are gaining financial independence through STABLE Kentucky. Yet in Lee County, no one has enrolled in the program. State Treasurer Mark H. Metcalf is encouraging families to take advantage of this opportunity.
“Every eligible Kentuckian should know about STABLE Kentucky,” said Treasurer Metcalf. “These accounts can be life-changing — providing security and independence while protecting critical benefits like Medicaid and SSI.”
STABLE Kentucky, the state’s version of the federal ABLE program, is a savings and investment account that helps families build long-term security while protecting essential benefits. Key benefits of the program include:
