Roger Kidd of Beattyville, Kentucky, husband of Bethany Barker, departed this life Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the age of 76 years, 3 months and 27 days. He was a son of the late Willis Kidd and Mary Johnson Kidd born in Madison County, Kentucky, on May 11, 1949. He was a United States Army Veteran having served 17 years in the military, he was a Sergeant in the Military Police, he served 2 tours during the Vietnam War being stationed in Fort Knox, Germany and Anchorage, Alaska. Roger was also a former insurance salesman and a loving husband, father, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Bethany Barker of Beattyville, Kentucky; one son, Roger Emmanuel Kidd of Campton, Kentucky; one daughter, Laura Lynn Kidd of Campton, Kentucky; two brothers, Paul Kidd of Irvine, Kentucky, and Eugene Kidd of Campton, Kentucky; and three sisters, Marjorie Long of London, Kentucky, Della LaFoe of Harrodsburg, Kentucky, and Anita Blevins of Frenchburg, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Kidd and Mary Johnson Kidd; two brothers, Glenn Kidd and Charlie Kidd; and two sisters, Alice Howard and Irene Johnson. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. No services are planned at this time.
