Darma Lee Osborne, husband of Imogene Osborne and son of the late Albert and Maude Cole Osborne was born in Owsley County, Kentucky March 18, 1935, and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on October 10, 2025, at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 22 days. He worked for LaSalle Steel in Hammond, Indiana before retiring to Beattyville in 1974. He enjoyed working on his beloved cattle farm for over 18 years before relocating to Richmond in 1992. He was a devoted Christian and a member of the Ravenna Church of God. Darma is survived by his wife of seventy years, Imogene; Two daughters, Rowena Phillips (Tommy) of Beattyville, KY and Theresa Bryan (Chester) of Richmond, KY; One son, Steve Osborne (Anita) of Ravenna, KY; five granddaughters, Melissa Puckett (Josh) of Richmond, Andrea Haling of Irvine, Hannah Powell (Brian) of Lexington, Rebecca Hocker (Lamaur) and Sarah Price also of Richmond. One grandson, Daniel Bryan (Sarah) of Irvine. Fifteen great-grandchildren, Jayden Osborne, Caleb Haling (Victoria), Alyssa Haling, Hailey (Joseph) Slone, Pheonix Turner, Izabella Turner, Aaliyah Hocker, James Price, Beckett Price, Brayden Chalfant, Olivia Puckett, Aubrey Puckett, Emmaline Powell, Caroline Powell and Raelyn Bryan. Two great-great granddaughters, Imogene Haling and Oakley Haling as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Darma was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Ceyphus Eugene “Gene”, Russell, Ervie and Jake Osborne. Two sisters, Reba Snyder and Thelma Brandenburg. One granddaughter, Crystal Jean Greenhill.
Serving as pallbearers are Tommy Phillips, Chester Bryan, Daniel Bryan, Larry Osborne, Josh Puckett & Brian Powell. Services held October 16, 2025 at Booneville Funeral Home with Geral Richardson officiating. Burial in Brandenburg Cemetery, Lee Co. Booneville Funeral in charge of arrangements.
