Barter Collins

Barter Collins, age 65, departed this life on July 11th, 2025, at his residence in Booneville, Kentucky. Barter was born March 11, 1960 in Hazard, KY, to the late Jack and Delilah Collins. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Sturgeon Mining Company and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Freddie (Hughes) Collins, 2 sons; James Robert Collins and Rusty Wayne Collins, both of Beattyville, KY, 3 daughters; Alley Smith of Booneville, KY, Misty Gail Hensley of Owensboro, KY and Delilah Vernell Collins of Beattyville, KY, 3 brothers; Garvey Collins of Hazard, KY, David Cooker of Virginia and Dennis Collins of New Jersey, 3 sisters; Susan (Andy) Hughes and Addie Neace, both of Booneville, KY, and Mary McIntosh of Beattyville, KY, sister in law; Rachel Tolson of Breathitt County, KY, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren along with many other loving family members and friends. Barter was preceded in death by his parents and 1 daughter, Tasha Stacy.

   Services July 14, 2025 at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Crabtree and Harold Creech officiating. The Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
